A Prayer
Let us pray for
-
All those who died from the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
-
Healing and comfort for their families and friends
-
Those who serve on the front lines of the pandemic
"Almighty God, grant to your church your Holy Spirit and the
wisdom which comes down from heaven, that your word may not
be bound but have free course and be preached to the joy and
edifying of Christ's holy people, that in steadfast faith we may
serve you and in the confession of your name abide to the end;
through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord."

IMPORTANT NOTICE
re SUNDAY WORSHIP
Due to the ongoing issues presented by Covid and the flu
and in keeping with the guidance of medical professionals,
Saint Andrew Lutheran Church
has adopted the following practices during worship services: --

We have dropped all mandatory restrictions for Covid and the flu.

We have made hand sanitizers available in several locations within the church.
Masks are now optional –
but for anyone wishing to mask, complimentary masks will be available
upon entering the church on the narthex table.
Again, this is optional.

Masks are not required, but we do love to sing, so if you’re feeling unwell
or may have been exposed to an airborne illness like COVID,
wearing a mask will help us all gather safely.

Here is a link to the lectionary page for a preview of this coming Sunday’s Scripture readings:

“Worshiping in the Home” resources will continue to be emailed to ensure
a variety of worship opportunities.

A NOTE to visitors and curious faith explorers – you are welcome to read the texts

New Year's Eve
Happy New Year to All!

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.'”
-- Luke 2:8-12

“Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may
share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.
“Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
“May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen.”
by Robert Louis Stevenson
