Saint Andrew Lutheran Church
Welcome!
Saint Andrew is a small, friendly Christian community proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Located in South Glens Falls, NY, we are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our congregation is widely known for its loving warmth, hospitality, and convivial spirit of WELCOMING ALL!
And when we say, “ALL ARE
WELCOME!,” we really mean it!
We are a “Reconciling in Christ”
(RIC) congregation! We truly
welcome all to share in the life and
ministry of Saint Andrew Lutheran
Church regardless of age, race,
socio-economic status, physical or
mental capabilities, or sexual
orientation. At Saint Andrew, we
like to say, “All are welcome, all
may worship, and all are
loved!”
In keeping with this
“welcoming” theme, our
congregation recently looked to the future and committed to a small but powerful expansion of space. The welcoming area at our church entrance and the kitchen area downstairs
were expanded to
demonstrate that all are
truly welcome and invited to
share in fellowship!

to familiarize yourself with
our commitment to worship,
to rejoicing in church music,
and especially to reaching out
to our community.
Worship begins here in our church garden
and extends from our grounds (look at our website Community Garden page) and
reaches out to the local and world community. We support and serve various initiatives in
our community and the state (like soup kitchens, homes for homeless youth and
veterans, Christmas cheer for needy families, etc.), and the world (like the ELCA World Hunger Fund, the ELCA Malaria Campaign,
and Lutheran Disaster Response…to name just a few).
Our primary focus is worship of the Living God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Every Sunday and at other times we gather to worship, pray, partake of the sacraments, and welcome the stranger. Our church is organized “in the round,” enhancing the intimacy of the worship experience, always reminding us that we are a community. Once here you are no longer a stranger!
Music is a very important part of
our worship experience – we are
truly a “singing congregation!”
And we are very proud of our
church choir which regularly sings
the most beautiful and challenging
music to praise God and edify our
congregation. We are also
blessed with a chime choir and
church musicians who
enthusiastically offer up solos and
instrumental performances to
glorify God! Our church music
truly touches people’s souls!
